MECHATRONICS SYSTEMS ENGINEER
MECHATRONICS SYSTEMS ENGINEER
About Me
I am a Mechatronics Systems Engineer with a passion for innovation, implementing latest technologies, hands-on and problem-solving.
Graduated from Simon Fraser University (SFU) in May 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Applied Sciences. Throughout my academic career, I co-founded the SFU Arduino Club, served as president, and helped launch Maker Cube, a community-driven workshop and collaborative space in Surrey, BC, Canada. I also worked on mechatronic prototyping and 3D printing for Human Robot Interaction (HRI) drones at SFU’s Autonomy Lab.
I am driven by creativity, continuous improvement, and the challenge of finding innovative solutions. I am particularly interested in the renewable energy and automation sectors, where I can apply my design and electro-mechanical engineering skills.
I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor’s in Applied Sciences in Mechatronic Systems Engineering in May 2018. While at SFU, I:
Co-founded and served as president of the SFU Arduino Club.
Helped launch Maker Cube, a first-of-its-kind community-driven workshop and collaborative space in Surrey, BC, Canada.
Contributed to mechatronic prototyping and 3D printing for Human Robot Interaction (HRI) drones at SFU’s Autonomy Lab.
These experiences shaped my passion for building and problem-solving, and fueled my interest in automation and design engineering.
As an Engineer-in-Training, I have worked with various companies and made valuable contributions:
Eastman Kodak Company: Identified and averted a significant flaw in the production line assembly of print plate machines.
JazzSolar: Optimized the startup’s CRM, expenses, and workflow, and assisted in installing over 50kWh of solar panels for clients.
Pacific Design Engineering: Assisted in building and commissioning military R&D projects, performed test bench and coding for custom gaming tablets, and helped build and maintain an in-house Delta 3D printer.
CadMakers: Modeled fascia for complex buildings, and worked with clients like Tesla, Google Sidewalk Labs, and Dupont on various R&D projects, including construction optimization, factory design, and robot cells.
I have expertise in industrial, mechanical, and manufacturing systems, as well as CADD (2D & 3D), electrical circuit design, programming, IT & networking, and R&D.
I am deeply committed to engaging with the community and sharing knowledge. Some highlights include:
SFU Arduino Club: As president, I helped foster a collaborative environment for students interested in electronics and programming. (August 2014 - September 2016)
Maker Cube: Contributed to the creation of a collaborative space for students and the public to explore technology and innovation.
Open-Source Projects: I design and build various systems, such as humanoid robots, LED lighting, and 3D printers. I love sharing my projects as open-source to help others learn and innovate.
These experiences reflect my passion for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
As an engineer, I am motivated by challenges that allow me to apply my design, electro-mechanical, and software skills. I am particularly interested in:
Industrial, mechanical, and manufacturing systems.
Design & drafting (CADD 2D & 3D), automotive, and electrical circuit design.
IT & networking, site surveys & installations, R&D, machine tools, CNC, laser cutters, 3D printing, and more.
Outside of engineering, I am an avid adventure seeker. I enjoy hiking, camping, motorsports, golf, and the occasional game of billiards and bowling. These activities fuel my creativity and help me recharge.
